Amos Tamam...I Need a Taxi

I went to Manhattan, New York a few months ago to get my taxes done. There was absolutely no possible way I could have driven around that city. There was wall-to-wall people and horrendous traffic!

My only choice was public transportation – bus or taxi. I opted for the taxi because I wasn’t familiar with the bus routes and stops. It was easy to flag down a taxi. The only downside was because of the stop and go traffic. The costs on that meter kept increasing! My cab fare was close to $20 just to travel a few minutes.

When I think of taxis, I have to think of Amos Tamam. Amos Tamam is the CEO of Verifone Transportation Systems, Inc., a division of the giant Verifone Corporation and the industry leader in providing the technology and systems that enable taxi fleets to accept credit card payments. Amos Tamam’s latest invention provided fleet owners with the ability to process credit cards using wireless technology…quite impressive!
